Find Your Motivation
Motivation is more than a great phrase on a poster. It is the development of an identity that says it is worthwhile to work through the struggle to the outcome on the other side. In this episode, Meghan and Jody discuss the internal and external factors of motivation. There are several key areas that each of us must address in order to become the best version of ourselves.
- Create an identity that says, "I'm the kind of person who (insert best self here)."
- Adopt a growth mindset that says you have learned stuff before and overcome challenges before and can do it again.
- Fill your mind with good stuff. Surround yourself with people who encourage you. Fill your mind with positive books, videos, and podcasts.
- Bonus: You have to be your own biggest encourager. If you don't intentionally push yourself to find the next best version of you, while learning from your past experiences, you limit your potential. Don't do that!
